It was November of 1997. I stood on a balcony in Calcutta India looking out over people as they wandered here & there. Some headed to work, some aimless, others just trying to survive. I asked, “Lord, do you want me to come here? Live here? What would You have me do?” This is what came bubbling up in my heart: Matt 9:35-38 Then He said, “Pastor the pastors that pastor the people.”
Notice what Jesus did NOT say, “The harvest is plentiful, but the dollars are few.” Nor did Jesus say, “The harvest is plentiful but the property is too expensive.” He didn’t say, “The harvest is plentiful but we first need the latest self-help book or practical program.” NO! The missing ingredients aren’t pennies, property, parking lots or programs. Jesus said, “The harvest is plentiful but the WORKERS are few.” That’s what’s missing: Workers!
No workers – no harvest! Do you need a harvest in your life? Is there someone you love or know that is “lost” or “harassed, like a sheep without a shepherd?” Be a worker.

Pastor Kevin – what a calling, to harvest for the kingdom. What higher calling is there?
“Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever.” Daniel 12:3
