It take guts to care for the lost.

The TRUTH is compassion cannot be pushed on us from obligation, it is something that comes out from within.  Jesus had it in Him!  Compassion, according to the Greek, comes from the bowels.  It take guts to care for the lost. It’s something you feel in your gut.  Real compassion doesn’t come about by lawsuits or guilt.  It’s a feeling that may stir in your stomach but it comes out in your eyes, your words, your smile, & your actions.
Compassion is refusing to leave someone in the condition that you’ve found them in.

Compassion Sees:  John 4:35
I can’t accept that if we love Jesus we will be able to sit back and sunbathe while millions around us drown.  I believe the reason we don’t feel compassion is because we simply don’t SEE that the multitudes are indeed drowning.

James 5:7

See means to perceive the meaning or importance of; to be AWARE!
Proverbs 10:4-5

Sometimes I will intentionally go to a crowed place just to stand & watch people, and ask God to break my heart again for the lost.  And, I’m embarrassed to say, sometimes it takes a while… They are shepherdless sheep!  They aren’t just heading to the next department store but to a Christless Eternity!

May we take time to SEE people again today.
